At 10:35pm Wednesday night April 27, our beautiful Poly girl left us for the Rainbow Bridge.
She had a good day. She had a photoshoot in her new dress and got to spend lots of time getting loved on by Vanessa. She ate her whole dinner at about 8pm (an improvement since her newest medication was suppressing her appetite). At 10pm she was settling into her fluffy blanket when she had a sudden major heart episode. She stopped breathing... and although we administered CPR for more than 20 minutes, she did not recover.
She was surrounded by her rescue ladies when she passed... we are very thankful that we were both there.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had the opportunity to know and love this amazing sweet soul. In her short 6 months with us, she inspired us to be better humans and better rescuers. We created polysfund.org in her honor to help other dogs that would have otherwise suffered and died without her help.
